At this present time, the Trust has set aside varied areas to facilitate grazing, the majority under licence. Various cattle breeds are present on the common, Aberdeen Angus Dexter and Simmental during the grazing season.
Arable farming produces Spring Barley, Sugar Beet and Fodder. The barley is produced to service the drinks industry for the production of various speciality and general ales. Sugar beet contracts exist with British Sugar and are subject to the current refinement process.
